SKS supplies special Superalloy products such as the AL6XN and Hastelloy C-22 for applications in combination with swarthy corrosive media and high temperatures.
The corrosion resistance of these superalloys is significantly higher compared to traditional 316L or 1.4404 material.
AL-6XN? Alloy Tubing and fittings
AL-6XN? (UNS N08367) is a high-performance superaustenitic alloy that contains elevated levels of chromium, nickel, molybdenum, and nitrogen compared to 316L stainless steel. These alloying elements enhance its resistance to corrosion, particularly in acidic, oxidizing, and chloride-rich environments. This makes AL-6XN highly resistant to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking.
With superior performance over 316L, AL-6XN offers a more economical alternative to pricier nickel-based alloys, especially in applications that demand excellent formability, weldability, strength, and corrosion resistance.

Hastelloy? C-22? Tubing and fittings
Hastelloy? C-22? (UNS N06022) is one of the most adaptable nickel-based alloys on the market, composed of nickel, chromium, molybdenum, and tungsten. Its enhanced ability to resist both general and localized corrosion makes it a superior choice compared to other nickel alloys like C-276, C-4, Alloy 20, and Alloy 625 in environments involving diverse industrial chemicals.
The unique composition of Hastelloy C-22 offers significant advantages in resisting pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. It also exhibits excellent performance in oxidizing aqueous solutions, such as wet chlorine, nitric acid mixtures, and oxidizing acids containing chlorine ions.
Hastelloy C-22 is a highly effective option when superaustenitic stainless steels (e.g., AL-6XN, 904L, and 254 SMO?) and duplex stainless steels (2205 and 2507) are unable to endure harsh, aggressive chemical environments.
